TRACING THE CITY: A SURFACE STUDY BY ADAM THIRTLE
A study of movement, texture and quiet utility. Shot during high summer, the intense & unrelenting warmth of the sun bathes the textures of the city scape in bright light, creating pockets of stark contrast within the shadows.
One's perception of the materiality of the city and it's surfaces changes, as per the shifting light's movements. Reflected within the traced details adorning the shorts, the contrasting tonal shimmer from the grosgrain both compliments and challenges the more robust, matte finish of the tiny raised spheres of the dense canvas upper.
SURFACE: COTTON CANVAS TRACE SHORT
A loose fitting short that evolves our signature Cotton Tack Short. The traced detailing emphasises core elements of the garment whilst integrating two hidden rear stash pockets.
At the front, the tracing acts as a subtle nod to traditional double knee pants, drawing from classic workwear references. Finished with two black laminated zip pockets.
